Hilman Inc. is proud to announce that our Traksporter system has been selected by Defense Logistics Agency (DLA) Distribution Barstow to enhance critical warfighter support operations at Marine Corps Logistics Base, California.
According to the official DLA announcement, the facility selected Hilman’s “remote-controlled self-propelled system designed to move heavy machinery or other heavy objects safely, easily and efficiently.” The system addresses a critical need: “The equipment will allow special oversized and heavy loads to be moved in locations that are currently inaccessible with the equipment available at DLA Distribution Barstow.”
Adam Smith, director of DLA Distribution Barstow, called the Hilman equipment “a game-changer for indoor storage” that will “greatly expand long term military service-owned warfighter critical mission material.” The facility stores over 59,800 warfighter support items valued at over $2.1 billion.
This selection demonstrates Hilman’s continued commitment to supporting critical military operations with reliable, innovative heavy-load moving solutions.
